Each of the pieces that a Huichol artisan makes has a very special representation of its roots and customs. Artisans are based on the belief about their origins, that is, on each of the four elements of creation: earth, water, air and fire. The figures are especially striking, where they reproduce geometric drawings and fantastic figures. Scorpions, iguanas, turtles, deer, jaguars, wolves, cacti, turtles, jícaras or wells and even masks are just some of the forms of these divinities embodied in Huichol art.
